The National Heart Institute remains as an entity owned by the government, and will continue to provide treatment to civil servants and pensioners. However, they must obtain a referral letter from a government hospital first before seeking treatment. A representative from the IJN corporate communications department said this is response to a letter, where a reader expressed concern that his pensioner neighbour’s wife had been denied treatment at IJN.
